OSU Theatre Presents Macbeth by William Shakespeare
“Step into a world ravaged by chaos and despair, where the remnants of humanity teeter on the edge of madness. In this gritty post-apocalyptic production of Macbeth, Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy takes on a chilling new form. This production delves deep into the depths of the human psyche, exploring the moral decay and psychological unraveling in a world stripped of civilization where desperation reigns, and the line between good and evil becomes blurred.
Within the shattered remains of society, the concept of hierarchy still lingers, clinging desperately to a semblance of order. In this haunting adaptation, Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy takes on a visceral quality, immersing the audience in a world where status is a matter of life and death. The desire for “more” becomes a driving force, as characters navigate the treacherous landscape of ambition and temptation. As the story unfolds, the audience is transported into a world where morality is a luxury, and every decision holds life-altering consequences.” – OSU Department of Theatre
